The assignment
The Spring Hill Arts Gathering — SHAG — is a four-day arts and music festival at Spring Hill Vineyard in New Preston, Connecticut. The vineyard hired us for the whole arc: build the audience before the gates opened, cover four consecutive days of performances and installations, and feed the festival’s channels live — not weeks later.

Thirty days before: the campaign
For the month leading up to the festival, we ran SHAG’s Instagram outright — two posts a day for 30 days, with custom announcement graphics designed in one illustrated system and adapted for every artist on the lineup, from The Bad Judies and Susannah Joffe to Gotham Kings, RIPE, and boyyyish. Run-of-show posters, roadside signage, and collab graphics for the House of Yes and Pride In The Hills takeovers came out of the same system.

Four days, published as they happened
Two shooters ran four camera systems — cinema bodies, a compact rig, a stabilized pocket camera, and a drone — every one of them shooting horizontal and vertical from the start, because a reel you have to crop was never really shot for social.
Each festival day got two live reels: an intro reel while the day was underway, and a full recap published within 30 minutes of the day ending. Attendees were still in the parking lot when the day’s recap hit the feed.

Multitrack audio ran all four days — stage feeds and field recordings — captured alongside the footage so the festival’s own edits could use real performance sound. (Web previews here play silent.)

The result
The client called it one of the best SHAGs yet — and the numbers backed the feeling: the festival’s content reached 80,000 views within three days. Beyond the live coverage, the festival walked away with a complete, organized media library — horizontal and vertical, all four days — ready to promote next year before this year’s tents came down.

What SHAG got:
- A 30-day Instagram campaign, managed end to end — 60 posts, custom artist graphics in one visual system
- Print and environment: run-of-show posters, roadside signage, collab flyers
- Four days of coverage from two shooters, four camera systems, and a drone
- Two live reels per festival day — daily recap live within 30 minutes of close
- 80K views in the first three days
- A complete festival media library for year-round promotion
